Hey all,

You can't believe the rugged beauty of this place.  All the people workin here are great, doesn't matter what the job is.  Their all here for the adventure....more coping less whining!!!   The weather has been off and on.  Some days are so clear and bright you can literallly see 100 miles with temps all the way up to -2F,  in 2 hours visability  can be down less than a 100 ft., 55 mph winds and temps drop to -62F.  I guess an average temp would be -35F....that means yer nose hairs and moustach freeze solid in 10 paces.  The food at the Galley is really pretty good.  We had a surprise yesterday, the flight in brought some fresh fruit and veggies.....we had a salad with dinner   Whoohoo!!!!! Most everything is usually either frozen or canned.

Didn't get to see any wildlife yet,  the ice still stretches 800 miles north to open southern ocean.  Come Late december the ice breakers should be gettin close. I guess we should see some animals by then. So far it's a great experience, and I would recommend it.

Talk to ya later,  Howie
Hey!  What'd I miss???  Where's Howie???  Obviously someplace with glaciers?  Alaska?!
